Project Outline:

From 2001 to 2005, Chant provided Powell River Energy Inc. with annual planning, project management and project implementation services under a multi-year "alliance" agreement. The scope of the agreement covered all capital and major maintenance expenditures for a combined 82 MW of generating capacity.

Facilities under management involved seven Francis type turbine units (five of which are nested in an active pulp and paper mill), steel penstocks, two large concrete dams, two gated spillways, water control and diversion structures, and a twenty kilometer 66 kV steel tower transmission system.
