Project Outline:

Chant was the Owner's Representative and Project Facilitator for the design, construction and commissioning of a new 45 MW hydroelectric generating facility in Wawa, Ontario.

Our role included:

• Ensuring specification compliance and contract interpretation.
• Liaisoning/coordination between the Owner and contractors.
• Monitoring design and construction activities for compliance with the contract and schedule.
• Designing review and compliance audits.
• Alternates and change control, initiation of Owners requested change orders.
• QA/QC inspections, monitoring and audits.
• Payment authorization and cost monitoring.
• Engaging subconsultants as required.
• Preparation of monthly status reports.
• Facilitating project closeout, dispute resolution and reconciliation of final project account.
