Project Outline:

Concrete rehabilitation of approximately 292m² on the downstream face. Rehabilitation of an existing roof, crack repair in the interior of the penstock thrust block for unit G2, and elevator shaft crack repair.

The scope of work includes:

• Site investigation and core sampling to determine the extent of damage on the sloped portions of the downstream wall
• Design of the new patch for the downstream face and procurement of a form system to complete repairs
• Demolition and disposal of poor concrete
• Urethane injection to stop seepage
• Placement of new concrete
• Design and construction of the new roof repair
• Seel elevator shaft cracking (interior and exterior repair), and
• Seel and inject urethane in all interior cracking on the inside of unit G2 penstock block
