Construction of a new five-span, 268m bridge to twin Highway 43 over the Smoky River east of Grande Prairie, Alberta

The Project involved:

  • A cast-in-place deck on steel girders.
  • 3,600 cubic metres of concrete.
  • 432 tonnes of reinforcing steel.
  • 934 tonnes of steel structural.
  • Access berms into the river.
  • Cast in place pier and abutments.
  • Over 1,200 linear metres of H-pile and caisson foundations.
