Chant's focus on the power industry includes both construction and rehabilitation projects. We operate primarily in the non-nuclear segment of the power industry. Our expertise includes:

Chant has negotiated prime contracts on behalf of owners with design firms, contractors and other service providers.

During construction, we offer a full range of construction management and project delivery services to ensure the work proceeds in a safe, cost effective and timely manner while maintaining strict change and quality controls. The scope of our services can also include environmental compliance monitoring, emergency response plan administration and providing sound public and community relations leadership. We provide claims resolution management services for customers if required.

Chant performs work as a general contractor in EPC and design build delivery models.

Our people and systems have been selected and assembled to bring value to projects that are in the heavy civil and power sectors of the construction industry. Our primary focus is on the non-nuclear power sectors, including renewable (hydro and wind) and thermal (natural gas and alternative fuels) generation. Chant has a track record of performance as Owner’s representative, Owner’s Engineer, Project Manager, Construction Manager, Design-Build Contractor and General Contractor within our primary focus.

We are also active in the delivery of infrastructure that supports the transmission of electrical energy. Here, we have performed as Owner’s representative and Engineer during the definition stage of projects and as Design-Build Contractor for a transmission system construction in the far north.
