The Wahnapitaeping Development Corp. ("WDC") was seeking a joint venture partner to pursue the maintenance and decommissioning works at INCO's Whistle Lake Mine property, located on Wahnapitae First Nation lands. On INCO's recommendation, Chant Construction was interviewed by WDC, together with PCL Constructors Inc., Peter Kiewit & Sons, and Cree Construction, and was subsequently selected to partner with the Wahnapitae.

WahnaChant Ltd., an incorporated joint venture, continues to seek regional opportunities that meet the established goals of WahnaChant with respect to First Nation capacity building, technology transfer and profitability.
