SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. Canada's largest engineering company, says it is part of a group that has won a contract to design and build a 120-megawatt power plant for Brilliant Expansion Power Corp. in British Columbia.

A consortium formed with Skanska-Chant JV and Sweden's Skanska International Civil Engineering AB will complete the $167 million project, SNC said yesterday.

The project will involve expanding an existing 150-megtawatt hydroelectric plant.
